Registration for the Spring Stewardship Weekend of the Woodlands is now open! Starting the afternoon of Friday, May 6 and extending through Sunday, May 8, the annual work weekend is a great opportunity to give back to the Mendocino Woodlands we all know and love as well as enjoy the beauty of the forest and socialize.
You are required to donate about seven hours of work on Saturday to help prepare the three camps for the summer season. The work includes setting up tents and cots, sweeping floors, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, as well as special outdoor projects assigned by the Woodlands Staff. People of all ages and abilities welcome. We will form a childcare cooperative based on the ages of campers.
Other than that you are free to enjoy the forest, hike, and just relax with other campers. We’ll have group activities in the evening. Chefs Laurin Beckhusen and Katie Rall will prepare delicious meals throughout the weekend to sustain you, culminating with a big feast Saturday night and a brunch on Sunday morning.
Go to the event page for more information about the camp and to download a registration form. We hope to see you there!
