Thanksgiving Camp

Wednesday, November 23 – Sunday, November 27, 2011

Please join us for the second annual Thanksgiving Camp in Camp One of the Mendocino Woodlands. Campers will be welcome to show up as early as Wednesday, November 23 to start relaxing, preparing for the big Friday dinner, and enjoying each others company. Planned (and unplanned) activities will continue through Saturday night. On Sunday morning, we’ll clean up and head home. We have lots of exciting things planned including a holiday dance, ornament making, pie baking, a gift exchange, and plenty of surprises.

Registration fees are per person and the fees are the same regardless of how many days you attend*. In order to keep costs low for all attendees, there are no staff positions or discounts available. Everyone will be required to participate equally in chores and in making the camp run smoothly! Required fees are as follows:

Adults (11 and older) $80
Youth (10 and younger) $65
Infants (2 and younger) $25

The registration fees listed above cover insurance, meals (Wednesday night through Sunday morning), lodging, craft fees, communal firewood (wood for your cabin is separate and details will follow once you register), etc. Donations to the Woodlands are voluntary.

Download the registration form.

To keep this camp to a manageable size so everyone can relax and enjoy themselves, attendance is limited to the first 75 people to register and pay the fees. Please register promptly to ensure yourself a slot!

While we already have lots of exciting plans, please feel free to let us know if there’s a menu item or activity you can’t imagine getting through the Thanksgiving holiday without. If possible, we’ll incorporate your suggestion into our plan or coordinate with you to make it happen. We’ve included space at the bottom of the registration form to share your suggestions.

Please include one $50 check payable to NCUUCC with your registration fees. If you qualify for a refund, this check will be returned to you at the end of camp. If you fail and/or are unable to participate, the check will be deposited into the NCUUCC account and the funds donated to Friends of Woodlands.
